Piccolomini y la Repetición de amores

La crítica ha venido señalando en las últimas décadas las diferentes fuentes de las que se nutre Luis de Lucena para su Repetición de amores, un arte de amor de carácter burlesco, y ha destacado como parte importante de su estructura la yuxtaposición de «fragmentos tomados de aquí y de allá sin el menor engarce razonable». Lucena toma como punto de partida una experiencia amorosa pseudo-autobiográfica, basada literalmente en la Historia de duobus amantibus de Eneas Silvio Piccolomini, desde la descripción de la amada a la reacción de ésta al recibir la visita de una vieja alcahueta. A diferencia de Enríalo, Lucena abandona en seguida el asedio de la señora de la que se había enamorado...
