In the present study, the appearance of a repeated archetype is investigated both in the novels of cavalry and in many Spanish and European folkloric stories, based on texts from the 15th and 16th centuries: the missing child. The interpretation of reality and wonder or miracle and its relationship with the idea of family and descendants make up a long-incomed topic.
