Abstract


The main target of this paper is to examine the various reading from feminism has been made of the Castilian epic, medieval romances and chronicles Castille. The works of Lucy Sponsler, María Eugenia Lacarra, Alan D. Deyermond, Carolyn Bluestine, Teresa Catarella, Marjorie Ratcliffe, Frank L. Odd, Estelle Irizarry, Anne J. Cruz, etc., have raised very innovative prospects in the characterization of the female characters. Analyzing in depth what the feminist criticism has brought to the study of these medieval genres and what criteria it has handled, on what theories it is supported and with what consequences it will have will be the primary task that we will address on the following pages.
