This paper discovers the sonnets of Petrarca in which the Admiral of Castile, Fadrique Enríquez, was inspired to compose one of the several songs he dedicated to Juan Boscán. The references to Aretino help better understand the verses the two poets shared about a lady with whom the latter used to be in love and the former still is.
