The analysis of Apologética historia sumaria by Brother Bartolomé de las Casas might be useful to prove the first appearance of various terms that have to do with the Renaissance concept of Astronomy and Cosmography. This appearance is in accordance with the neological work of this Dominican scholar during all his production. Although there are some problems that might thwart the value of his work, it is true that its analysis proves how this field of lexis is an aid for the author to justify the physical determinism that he applies in his defence of the human plenitude of the native people of the New World.
