Ficción y realidad judeoespañola en el Aita Tettauen de Benito Pérez Galdós

Los procedimientos de trabajo del gran novelista español son bien conocidos gracias a las investigaciones de J. Serrailh, M. Bataillon, G. Boussagol y C. Vázquez de Arjona. Las fuentes del Aita Tettauen (octubre 1904, enero 1905), quedaron bien perfiladas en el estudio de R. Ricard: el Diario de un testigo de la guerra de África de P. A. de Alarcón, el Kitâb el-istiqsâ, El Cairo, 1894, del cronista en-Nâsirî, según la traducción española que le envió el administrador adjunto de la Zona Internacional de Tánger, D. Ricardo Ruiz Orsatti, sin olvidar la Descripción histórica de Marruecos... de Fr. Manuel P. Castellanos, I.ª ed. Santiago, 1878, que tanto había influido en la obra de en-Nâsirî. Nuestro propósito en esta ocasión es descubrir todo lo que pueda haber de ficción y realidad en la lengua, usos y costumbres de los judíos sefardíes descritos por Galdós en el mencionado Episodio Nacional.
