Although some rules about idiomatic correction may be arbitrary, most of them obey to internal or external movements of the language. This forces the linguist to explain and justify, when necessary, all normative phenomena that appear in the various levels: phonetical-graphical, morfological, syntactic. In this way, the rule ecomes an extremely useful tool for the scholar, since it leads him to a deeper study of the linguistic system. This article contains some of these phenomena, wich illustrate what we have just said.
