This article is an attempt to put some order among the different critical ways that reading and interpretation of the book have followed, especially in the last years, up to the present time. It also searches the reasons why nowadays those are the most frequented works, trying to outline the landscape that explains and, in case it could be necessary, that justifies them: comicity, classicism, symbologism, psicologism, postmodernism, carnival, narrative structure, and style. In general, the article maintains that the own structure of the book is what allows its richness and, therefore, its ambiguity.
