A global study of Richard Perceval’s contributions to the phonetics of Early Modern Spanish is presented. With the descriptions and examples shown in his Bibliotheca Hispanica (1591), this author provides the specialist with extremely valuable information about the Spanish language of his time, which, without a doubt, helps to its historical reconstruction.
