Abstract

Since the linguistic fragmentation that occurred after the attempt to reach God itself through the Babel tower, man has tried to reinvent a universal communication code. In the era when Spanish was the language of exchange in both Europe and America, the linguistic manifestations linked to theology turn out to be confusing and interferential. This article explores some of the ways these incoherences take place in Golden Age religious literature.
